    Mediastinoscopy — lymph nodes taken from the mediastinum under ventilation — to diagnose sarcoidosis. She has had to spell the surgery and the disease for people who could not. The scientist in her own chart.

    She has written that her father, Elliott Thomas Ridenour Jr, died in her living room that day. She is working on his legacy, and her grandfather's, since returning east. Navy family. She still talks to him. Always a Ridenour — Cherokee, Shawnee, Blackfoot. The Other Side wing is for that.
